If your child is having problems or dissatisfaction, the first role is to talk to her and make her/him comfortable. Talk to her about consulting a nutritionist so that she/he may lose the weight properly. Study her/his motivations behind the planning of dieting. The health specialists also faces many challenge to help the teenagers adopt the healthy eating as an achievable behaviour. Dieting can be a double whammy. One of the best advice that works with teenagers is to tell them to eat when they are hungry and to stop when they are full. Similarly the poor emotional well-being has led to contribution to various types of weight related problems and personality traits have become way more selective. There is a serious competition going on in today’s world. Depression and low self-esteem are the major causes for your teen to risk onto unhealthy eating habits. Low self-esteem leads to body dissatisfaction resulting in long term health problems and eating disorders. Trying to skip meals often can lead to weight gain rather than losing of some pounds which will make your kids more depressed. These issues need to be addressed in schools as well to take care of the problems. Healthy habits among teenagers lay the groundwork for the positive youth development. The most concerned developing youth are health habits which also consists of proper exercise and sleep.
